The Sky's Ablaze!

Summer is an excellent time to do many things - swim, picnic, watch a baseball game, cut the grass....but, don't forget, as I so often do, to look up once in a while. An upward glance can provide a more spectacular show than any 4th of July fireworks event you'll ever attend.

Yesterday at sunset, the clouds gathered for what appeared to be a rain show. Within minutes, as the sun set, the sky became a palette of shades of red, orange, blue, and grey with the sun illuminating the huge cumulus clouds' edges in a brilliant fashion. Rays of light extended far across the sky past the clouds like beams from a lighthouse lamp. The skies themselves did, as scripture says, "Declare the glory of God!"
